All outdoor burning on Denman Island is regulated by the Comox Valley Regional District’s “Denman Island Fire Protection Service Regulation Bylaw No. 281, 2013”. This bylaw applies to industrial burn piles, residential or “backyard” burning, beach fires and camp fires on all privately-owned and publicly-owned properties located in the Denman Island fire protection service area. The Fire Chief, Denman Island Fire Rescue is authorized to enforce this bylaw.
